Required Skills and Qualifications:
Graduate/Diploma in Civil, Supply Chain, or related field.
Minimum 1+ years of experience in purchasing/procurement in the construction industry.
Good knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
Prepare purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with project and company requirements.
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores for material requirements.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials to project sites.
Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts with vendors to obtain the best possible terms.
Maintain and update supplier database and records.
Monitor inventory levels and track orders to avoid project delays.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Coordinate with accounts for invoice processing and vendor payments.
