Educational Qualification
- Degree or diploma in Engineering (Production/Mechanical).
- Additional qualifications in Materials Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 4-5 years of experience in a plastic parts manufacturing company or a mechanical engineering production company.
Responsibilities
- PR, PCS, PO/WO, and contract management.
- Supplier selection and development.
- Sourcing of raw materials such as plastics, rubber, and metals.
- CAPEX procurement, including machines, equipment, and test facilities.
- Implementation of cost reduction and cost-saving measures in operations.
- Value engineering initiatives.
- Follow-ups with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Staying updated with market trends, pricing, and development.
- Import substitution initiatives.
- Inventory management and optimization.
Required Competencies
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience working in an ERP environment.
- Expertise in supplier follow-ups.
- Proficiency in cost reduction techniques.
- Knowledge of import processes and regulations.
- Experience conducting supplier audits.
- Ability to monitor supplier performance effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
