Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for procurement of

packing materials, processing consumables, chemicals, ice, PPE, engineering spares, utilities, and services

required for smooth operation of the chicken processing plant. The role ensures

cost efficiency, quality compliance, and uninterrupted material availability

in line with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Procure

packing materials

(trays, films, labels, cartons, bags, stretch wrap) Purchase

processing consumables

such as ice, cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and hygiene materials Procure

PPE items

(gloves, masks, aprons, caps, safety shoes) Source and manage vendors for

engineering spares, maintenance materials, cold storage, and logistics services

Negotiate rates, credit terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers Raise purchase orders and ensure compliance with approved budgets Coordinate with

production, quality, stores, maintenance, and accounts departments

Ensure materials meet

FSSAI, hygiene, and food safety standards

Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock-outs or excess inventory Verify supplier invoices with PO, GRN, and delivery challans Handle vendor issues related to quality deviations, shortages, and returns Maintain purchase records, vendor master data, and MIS reports Support internal and external audits related to procurement

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Business Administration / related field

2-5 years of experience in food or chicken processing industry

Knowledge of

food-grade materials, hygiene chemicals, and processing plant requirements

Familiarity with

FSSAI and food safety compliance

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
