Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of medical devices, components, and consumables, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing cost-effectiveness.


Responsibilities:

Vendor Identification and Evaluation:

+ Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for medical devices, components, and consumables.
+ Ensure vendors meet regulatory and quality compliance standards (ISO 13485, CE, FDA, etc.).

Procurement Planning:

+ Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with production and sales forecasts.
+ Maintain adequate inventory levels while avoiding overstock or shortages.

Negotiation and Cost Management:

+ Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
+ Continuously work on cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Purchase Order Management:

+ Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders (POs).
+ Ensure timely approval and follow-up for order confirmation and dispatch.

Supplier Relationship Management:

+ Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and timely delivery.
+ Handle supplier performance reviews and corrective actions when needed.

Quality and Compliance Coordination:

+ Coordinate with the quality assurance (QA) team to ensure purchased items meet medical device regulatory requirements.
+ Manage documentation for audits and certifications (ISO, CDSCO, GMP).

Inventory and Logistics Coordination:

+ Collaborate with the stores and logistics teams for inventory management and inbound logistics.
+ Track shipments and resolve customs or transport-related issues.

Market Research and Cost Benchmarking:

+ Conduct regular market studies to compare prices, technologies, and vendor offerings.
+ Stay updated on import/export regulations, GST implications, and new supplier opportunities.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

+ Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, invoices, and compliance documents.
+ Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

+ Work closely with R&D, Production, and Finance teams to align purchase activities with business goals.
+ Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing materials and components.

Skills and Qualifications:
