Job Summary

Gokulam Grand Turtle on the Beach, Kovalam is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Purchase Executive

to manage procurement activities for hotel operations. The ideal candidate should have prior

hotel industry experience

, strong vendor management skills, and a valid

driving license with driving skills

to support local sourcing and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day purchasing of food & beverage, engineering, housekeeping, and general supplies Source, negotiate, and finalize rates with suppliers to ensure best quality and cost-effectiveness Maintain approved vendor lists and build strong relationships with local and external suppliers Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per departmental requisitions Coordinate with stores to maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid stock shortages Verify purchase orders, delivery challans, invoices, and ensure accuracy with GRNs Ensure compliance with hotel policies, budget controls, and audit requirements Conduct local market visits for sourcing and emergency purchases (driving required) Coordinate with finance, stores, and user departments for smooth operations Maintain proper documentation and purchase records
Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in hotel purchasing (preferred)

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management preferred Good knowledge of hotel materials, suppliers, and procurement processes Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in MS Office and hotel ERP systems

Valid driving license and good driving skills are mandatory

Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations
Preferred Skills

Knowledge of local markets and vendors in and around Kovalam / Trivandrum Cost control and inventory management understanding Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
