Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services from suppliers. Negotiate with suppliers to draw up procurement contracts and administer, terminate, or renegotiate contracts. Locates and arranges for purchase of goods and services necessary for efficient operation of organization. Analyses price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices. Prepares purchase orders or bid proposals and reviews requisitions for goods and services. Maintains and reviews computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with the Departments, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action. May approve invoices for payment. May expedite delivery of goods to the concerned departments.
