Job Description

Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers that align with the company's quality and cost requirements.

Sourcing and Negotiation:

Source materials, components, and services from reliable suppliers while negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.

Purchase Orders:

Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and supplies.

Supply Chain Coordination:

Collaborate with production, planning, and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials for production schedules.

Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet specified quality standards.

Budget Management:

Monitor and manage procurement budgets, track expenses, and optimize spending while ensuring cost efficiency.

Market Research:

Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging suppliers to make informed sourcing decisions.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and correspondence for auditing purposes.

Risk Management:

Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, finance, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.

Compliance:

Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to address issues and maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are advantageous.

Experience:

Proven experience in a procurement-related role, ideally within the furniture manufacturing or related industry. (5-6 years)

Negotiation Skills:

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.

Analytical Abilities:

Excellent analytical skills to assess supplier capabilities, market trends, and cost structures.

Communication:

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and collaborating with internal teams.

Attention to Detail

: High attention to detail in managing purchase orders, contracts, and documentation.

Time Management:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.

Problem-Solving:

Aptitude for identifying and resolving procurement-related challenges.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in using procurement software, MS Office applications, and data analysis tools.
