The company is engaged in manufacturing and trading of scaffolding systems, pipes, shuttering materials, and construction support equipment. To support its growing operations, the company is looking for a Purchase Assistant who will handle procurement activities, vendor coordination, and purchase documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in day-to-day procurement of raw materials (steel, scaffolding, fittings, pipes, shuttering products)
Maintain and update purchase orders, supplier records, and inventory tracking
Coordinate with vendors, negotiate rates, and ensure timely delivery
Support senior purchase managers in vendor development and cost optimization
Process invoices, GRNs, and assist in resolving purchase-related queries
Maintain documentation as per company policies and GST compliance
Key Skills & Competencies:
Basic understanding of steel market / construction material sourcing.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, ERP (if any), and purchase documentation.
Negotiation, communication, and vendor coordination skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
