Key Responsibilities:
? Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors for raw
materials, components, consumables, and services.
? Request quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize
orders.
? Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery in coordination
with production planning.
? Maintain proper documentation of procurement activities including POs,
invoices, GRNs, and vendor agreements.
? Monitor and manage inventory levels in coordination with the store and
production teams.
? Ensure timely procurement to avoid any delays in production or operations.
? Track and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and
service.
? Collaborate with the accounts department for payment processing and vendor
reconciliation.
? Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and audit
requirements.
? Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and alternate suppliers for
critical materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
? Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
? 2-4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management,
preferably in a manufacturing environment.
? Sound knowledge of purchasing practices, supply chain processes, and
inventory control.
? Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle,
or Tally.
? Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
