Position: Senior Purchase Executive ( plastics+mechanicals) Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Factory and Production Departments to gather material requirements for trading goods, raw materials, packaging materials, and packaging design work.
  • Ensure thorough evaluation of material availability, pricing, delivery time, taxes, payment terms, warranties, transportation, and free services.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers to finalize quotations, covering goods details, rates, delivery and payment terms, and gain necessary approvals.
  • Implement regular follow-ups via phone and email to track and obtain proper purchase-related documents.
  • Oversee the finalization of rates, delivery times, and payment terms with suppliers, ensuring a streamlined process.
  • Obtain feedback from the store regarding delivered goods\' quantity and from production regarding material performance.
  • Cross-check bills along with challan to ensure accuracy in purchase work.
  • Develop and select suppliers based on criteria such as quality, price, delivery commitments, and payment terms.
  • Maintain cost-effectiveness through thorough comparison and analysis.
  • Review day-to-day production activities, addressing issues like Plan vs. Actual material shortages.
  • Forecast purchases based on consumption and budget considerations.
  • Prepare vendor payments and address all calls related to supplier payments.
  • Manage suppliers\' accounts and payments, selecting suppliers based on overall performance.
  • Develop alternate and second sources for competitive prices, better quality, shorter lead times, and increased capacity.
  • Research potential vendors, compare and evaluate offers, and negotiate contract terms.
  • Release purchase orders based on a three-month average sale.
  • Possess basic design skills for making necessary adjustments and Key Line Drawing (KLD) for packaging materials.
  • Carefully check legal metrology details on packaging materials according to Product Development Plan (PDP).
  • Monitor supplier performance based on a comprehensive rating system covering quality, quantity, source, time, price, and location.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
  • Any Graduate with 3-4 years of experience as a Purchase Executive.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including advanced Excel, Word, and ERP Tally.
  • Packaging material designing skills in CDR and AI.
  • Tech-savvy and able to operate ERP Tally for purchase-related work.
