. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor coordination, PO documentation, compliance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, process, and manage
Purchase Orders (POs)
accurately and efficiently in accordance with company procurement policies.
End-to-end handling of purchase orders on the
GeM portal
, including product selection, bid/tender participation, order placement, and order tracking.
Ensure all procurement documentation is properly prepared, approved, and recorded for audit compliance.
Liaise with suppliers/vendors for quotations, order confirmations, delivery schedules, and invoice follow-ups.
Coordinate internally with departments to understand procurement needs and timelines.
Maintain an up-to-date record of all POs, contracts, and GeM transactions.
Monitor PO status to ensure timely delivery and escalate issues when necessary.
Ensure compliance with government procurement guidelines and policies as applicable under GeM.
Assist in resolving discrepancies related to POs, deliveries, and invoicing.
Prepare procurement-related reports and summaries for internal review and audits.
Key Requirements:
3-5 years of relevant experience
in procurement and purchase order management.
Proven experience with
GeM (Government e-Marketplace)
platform operations.
Sound knowledge of procurement procedures, vendor management, and order tracking.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Understanding of government procurement rules and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certification or training in supply chain, procurement, or GeM operations will be a plus.
