The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing baby products and supplies to ensure the store is always stocked with high-quality, safe, and market-relevant items. This role requires strong vendor management, negotiation skills, and an understanding of baby retail trends to balance cost efficiency with product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor stock levels and place purchase orders to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Coordinate with the store manager/warehouse team to forecast product demand based on sales trends and seasonal requirements.
Implement reorder levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Vendor & Quality Management
Evaluate supplier performance regularly (pricing, product quality, delivery timelines).
Resolve disputes, defective product issues, or delivery delays promptly.
Ensure all purchased items meet baby safety and hygiene standards.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
Maintain proper procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Work with finance for timely supplier payments and reconciliation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Freshers also welcome
Good analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
