Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations:
Evaluate purchase requisitions and identify suitable vendors/suppliers.
Prepare and process RFQs (Request for Quotations), purchase orders, and contracts.
Review technical specifications to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements.
Vendor Management:
Identify and develop new suppliers for electrical items (e.g., switchgear, panels, transformers, cables, VFDs, PLCs).
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
Cost & Negotiation:
Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to optimize cost without compromising on quality.
Maintain cost records and supplier price lists.
Coordination:
Collaborate with design, engineering, and project teams for timely and accurate material procurement.
Follow up on deliveries and coordinate logistics.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain purchase records, agreements, and invoices.
Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality standards.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of electrical components and systems.
Understanding of electrical drawings and BOQ analysis.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Good knowledge of supply chain procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
1-5 years of experience in procurement/purchase of electrical goods in construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or automation industry.
