Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities, develop vendor relationships, and ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent negotiation skills, and experience in supply chain or purchasing within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers and vendors. Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and prepare comparative statements for procurement approval. Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Coordinate with stores, production, and quality departments to align procurement with project timelines. Track and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess. Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics (cost, quality, delivery). Ensure compliance with company policies and standards during procurement. Work with finance for vendor payments and resolve any billing discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date records of all purchases, delivery, and inventory.
