Job Summary:

The Purchase Engineer - Electrical is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring electrical equipment, components, and services required for projects and plant operations. The role involves technical understanding of electrical specifications, vendor development, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support smooth execution of projects and production.

Key Responsibilities:

? Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for electrical materials such as switchgear, cables, motors, transformers, control panels, lighting, instruments, and other related components.

? Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs in coordination with the electrical engineering team to ensure correct sourcing.

? Float enquiries, obtain competitive quotations, and prepare comparative statements (Techno-Commercial).

? Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and timely supply.

? Issue purchase orders in line with project requirements and company procurement policies.

? Coordinate with suppliers for technical clarifications, dispatch follow-ups, and invoice processing.

? Ensure all procured items meet quality and compliance standards, including relevant IS/IEC standards.

? Track vendor performance on quality, delivery, and service; maintain and update approved vendor lists.

? Support procurement planning, budget monitoring, and cost control initiatives.

? Handle logistics coordination for delivery to project sites or manufacturing facilities.

? Prepare regular MIS reports on purchase status, cost savings, and supplier performance

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?55,000.00 per month
