Position Overview:

The

Purchase Coordinator

is responsible for managing procurement activities related to sheet metal components, press tools, raw materials, consumables, and laser-cut parts. This role ensures timely sourcing of quality materials and services at competitive prices, supporting smooth production and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Sourcing

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for sheet metal, tools, and fabrication consumables. Request and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms. Issue purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules. Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance.

2. Material Planning & Inventory Coordination

Coordinate with the production and planning teams to forecast material requirements. Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking. Work closely with stores and logistics to ensure timely material availability.

3. Vendor Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Evaluate vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service. Resolve supplier issues, discrepancies, or delays proactively.

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

Support cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing and process improvements. Analyze price trends and market conditions to ensure competitive procurement.

5. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies. Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.
