We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Purchase Assistant/Executive

to support our procurement operations( Palluruthy Location). This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating the purchase from local suppliers, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities;

Assist in identifying and evaluating seafood suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability Coordinate daily purchases of seafood products based on inventory needs and sales forecasts Monitor market trends and seasonal availability to optimize procurement decisions Ensure compliance with food safety standards, certifications, and import/export regulations Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance Communicate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of seafood Support inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Prior experience in seafood procurement, food supply chain, or related field preferred Strong negotiation and communication skills Knowledge of seafood varieties, grading, and quality standards
