We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchase Associate to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. As a Purchase Associate, you will play a crucial role in our procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our organization.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order creation and vendor payment
Analyze market trends, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and provide solutions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and vendor information in our procurement software
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to maintain adequate stock
Assist in the evaluation and selection of new vendors based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in all purchasing activities
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and vendor performance
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the procurement function
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management and contract negotiations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
Knowledge of market trends and pricing strategies
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
