We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchase Associate to join our team in Mysuru, India. As a Purchase Associate, you will play a crucial role in our procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our organization.
Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from requisition to order placement and delivery
Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data in our procurement systems
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their purchasing requirements
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the procurement process
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent stockouts
Resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities (both verbal and written)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Knowledge of supply chain management principles
Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Professional certification in purchasing or supply management (e.g., CPSM, CPM) preferred
