Assist the Purchasing Officer/Manager in daily procurement activities.
Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and supplier documentation.
Communicate with vendors to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and confirm delivery schedules.
Maintain and update supplier databases and purchase records.
Coordinate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and ensure timely supply of materials.
Track and monitor deliveries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Verify invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes before submission for payment.
Support in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining good supplier relationships.
Assist in inventory management and ensure stock levels are adequate.
Prepare reports and summaries related to procurement activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement software/ERP systems.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Work Environment:
Typically office-based, with occasional visits to suppliers or warehouses as needed.
