The Purchase Assistant will support the purchase team in sourcing, procuring, and collecting interior materials, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining accurate purchase records. The role involves vendor coordination, quotation follow-up, and assisting in day-to-day purchase activities for interior and site projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect quotations from suppliers and prepare comparison sheets.
Assist in identifying suitable vendors for interior materials such as plywood, laminates, hardware, lighting, etc.
Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for material requirements.
Raise purchase orders and follow up for material delivery and billing.
Visit vendors or local markets for material collection or verification as needed.
Maintain purchase files, invoices, and payment follow-up records.
Support the Purchase Officer/Manager in negotiation and vendor evaluation.
Ensure materials are delivered on time and meet the required quality standards.
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of interior materials and vendor sourcing.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and maintaining purchase records.
Ability to work independently and handle field tasks when required.
Attention to detail and time management.
Qualification:
Diploma / Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
Knowledge or interest in interior or construction field preferred.
