Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services as per company requirements.
Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and other procurement documentation.
Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and confirm delivery schedules.
Maintain and update vendor databases and purchase records in the ERP or inventory management system.
Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or pricing.
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Accounts, Operations, Stores) to ensure smooth procurement workflow.
Assist in evaluating supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
Prepare reports on purchase activities, order status, and cost analysis as required.
Support the Purchase Manager in administrative and logistical tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support (freshers with strong analytical and organizational skills may also be considered).
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of procurement processes and documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP software.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
