Job Title: Public Relations Officer (PRO)



Job Summary:



The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing the image and reputation of the dairy plant through strategic communication, media engagement, and stakeholder relations. The role involves gathering market feedback, troubleshooting communication challenges, enhancing business networks, and supporting brand visibility both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:



Media & Public Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national media outlets. Draft press releases, promotional content, and organize press briefings or plant visits. Serve as a spokesperson and manage media inquiries professionally.

Business Networking & Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, industry partners, and suppliers. Represent the plant at trade fairs, industry events, and community forums to build goodwill and business alliances.

Market Feedback & Intelligence Gathering:

Collect and analyze market feedback from customers, partners, and retailers. Communicate customer perceptions and product reviews to relevant internal departments for action and improvement. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.

Communication & Crisis Management:

Develop internal and external communication strategies to align with business goals. Manage crisis communications, draft emergency statements, and safeguard brand reputation in high-pressure situations.

Digital & Social Media Management:

Oversee online presence including social media platforms, website updates, and online reviews. Develop digital content and manage audience engagement.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

Act as the first point of contact for communication-related issues with stakeholders or the public. Proactively identify communication gaps and recommend solutions.

Business Analytics & Reporting:

Use business analytics tools to evaluate PR campaign effectiveness, media coverage, and engagement metrics. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to present PR outcomes and recommendations.

Community Outreach & CSR:

Coordinate corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in alignment with the company's values. Plan and execute community development programs, sponsorships, and plant-based events.

Qualifications and Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in a public relations or communications role; experience in FMCG or dairy industry preferred. Strong business networking skills and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. Experience in collecting and interpreting market feedback. Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency in using business analytics tools and generating insights. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to multitask, work independently, and remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of local regulations and public policies affecting the dairy or food processing sector is an advantage.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
