The PRO is responsible for creating and maintaining a
positive public image
of the university.
Promotes the university's achievements, academic excellence, faculty expertise, and student success stories.
Develops branding strategies to enhance institutional reputation locally, nationally, and internationally.
Media Relations
Acts as the
main contact point for media
--prepares press releases, arranges press conferences, and ensures accurate coverage of university activities.
Manages media inquiries and provides verified information to prevent misinformation.
Builds and maintains strong professional relationships with journalists and media houses.
Communication Management
Handles all
internal and external communications
on behalf of the university.
Prepares speeches, reports, and newsletters for management.
Disseminates important information to students, faculty, and the general public through circulars, bulletins, and social media platforms.
Event Coordination
Plans and coordinates university events such as
convocations, seminars, workshops, conferences, and cultural programs.
Ensures these events are well-publicized and receive appropriate media attention.
Supports departments in organizing academic and community outreach activities.
Liaison and Networking
Acts as a
liaison officer
with government departments, educational bodies, accreditation agencies, and partner institutions.
Facilitates collaborations, MoUs, and partnerships with other universities and organizations.
Engages with alumni networks to maintain lifelong relationships and enhance institutional support.
Student and Community Engagement
Builds positive relationships with students, parents, and the local community.
Promotes student achievements and encourages community involvement in university activities.
Supports outreach programs and social responsibility initiatives.
Crisis Management
Handles
sensitive issues and public crises
with professionalism and transparency.
Manages communication during controversies or emergencies to safeguard the university's reputation.
Prepares crisis communication strategies and ensures timely clarification to the media and public.
Digital Presence
Manages the university's
website, social media, and online campaigns.
Uses digital tools to reach wider audiences and engage stakeholders effectively.
Monitors online reputation and responds to feedback constructively.
Qualifications and Skills
Master's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or related fields.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, networking, and media-handling abilities.
Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools.
Organizational and event management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Minimum 10 years of experience in
healthcare PR, hospital administration, or corporate communications
is required

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
