Job Title: Public Relations Officer (Tamil Press)

Location: Chennai

Department: Group Marketing & Communications

Reports To: Group Marketing Officer / Communications Director

Role Overview: The PRO (Tamil Press) oversees all Tamil-language media relations and ensures the Group's communications are linguistically and culturally aligned. This includes drafting Tamil press releases, managing regional journalists, and coordinating local media coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain strong relationships with Tamil media editors and journalists.

Draft and translate Tamil press releases, statements, and announcements.

Coordinate interviews, briefings, and event coverage.

Track regional sentiment and public perception through Tamil media.

Use AI translation and transcription tools to streamline content creation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Degree in Journalism, Tamil Literature, or Mass Communication.

3-5 years of experience in Tamil media or PR roles.

Excellent command of Tamil language and media writing style.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A culturally attuned communicator who combines linguistic mastery with strategic storytelling for Tamil audiences.
