Position Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) represents Mindport Carevilla with empathy, professionalism, and strategic intent. This role involves direct interaction with patients and families, coordination with clinical teams, referral network development, and admissions support. The PRO plays a key role in enhancing Mindport's visibility, building trusted healthcare relationships, and supporting ethical admissions through clear and compassionate communication.

Key Responsibilities Patient & Family Interaction

Act as the first point of contact for patients, caregivers, and families Clearly explain available services, treatment approaches, and admission procedures Handle sensitive discussions with empathy, dignity, and confidentiality Coordinate with clinical teams for accurate and timely family communication

Clinician & Caregiver Coordination

Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and caregivers Stay updated on treatment plans, service availability, and care protocols Ensure smooth communication between internal teams and external stakeholders

Enquiry, Sales & Admissions Support

Handle enquiries and guide clients through the admissions process Present Mindport's premium residential care model with clarity and trust Support ethical enquiry-to-admission conversion Track enquiries, follow-ups, and admission outcomes

Referral Network Development

Build and maintain referral relationships with doctors across specialties Connect with therapists, counsellors, NGOs, wellness centres, and HR teams Develop and manage interstate referral networks Represent Mindport in medical forums, awareness programmes, and community initiatives

External Communication & Public Relations

Communicate Mindport's value proposition clearly and professionally Support outreach activities, awareness campaigns, and institutional tie-ups Coordinate with the marketing team for brochures, presentations, and communication materials Maintain Mindport's image as a compassionate and premium mental health facility

Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of referrals, enquiries, and admissions Submit weekly and monthly performance and activity reports Support management in outreach planning and strategy execution
Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Management, Life Sciences, or a related field Training or certification in counselling, healthcare communication, or sales will be an added advantage

Core Skills & Competencies

High level of compassion and sensitivity towards mental health needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ethical persuasion and strong relationship-building ability Willingness to travel within Kerala and to other states as required Strong organisational, documentation, and reporting skills

Language Requirements

English and Malayalam - Mandatory Hindi or Tamil - Working proficiency in at least one language is required
