Job Description

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will be the face of the college in the community, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with parents, schools, local organizations, and the public. The PRO will play a key role in promoting the college's reputation, supporting admissions campaigns, and managing all external communication to enhance visibility and trust.

Key Responsibilities



Community Engagement:

Act as the liaison between the college and the community, ensuring effective communication and positive relationships. Conduct outreach activities in schools, tuition centers, and local communities to create awareness about the college.

Admissions Support:

Support the admissions team in generating leads and driving walk-ins through awareness programs and networking. Promote scholarship tests, open houses, and admission campaigns.

Brand Promotion:

Represent the college at education fairs, exhibitions, and public events. Distribute promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and banners in target areas.

Media & Publicity:

Coordinate with local media for press releases, news coverage, and advertisements. Handle external communication, ensuring consistent messaging about the college's values and achievements.

Event Coordination:

Organize and manage community events, seminars, and workshops that enhance the college's visibility. Support internal events by managing guest invitations, external promotions, and PR coverage.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, leads generated, and partnerships established. Submit regular activity reports to the management.

Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in PR, marketing, or educational outreach (preferred in the education sector). Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication skills in English and local languages (Kannada, Hindi, etc., as applicable). Ability to manage multiple events and campaigns simultaneously. Proactive, approachable, and target-driven personality.
