Job Title- Public Relations Manager
The PR Manager will oversee and unify the public image and communications of the schools.
Key objectives include promoting each school's student achievements, events, and community engagement, while ensuring consistent branding and positive relationships across all campuses.
Key Responsibilities
1. School Visibility & Branding
Develop a strong and consistent brand identity across the schools through brochures, signage, websites, and all marketing materials.
Highlight student achievements, faculty excellence, and unique programs to position the schools as premier educational institutions in the region.
2. Media-Public Engagement
Build and maintain robust relationships with journalists, education reporters, influencers, and community leaders.
Draft and distribute press releases, success stories, and feature articles.
Represent the schools at education fairs, community events, and local forums to strengthen public presence.
Arrange press conferences and manage interviews for principals.
3. Event Promotion & Coverage
Plan and promote major events--annual functions, cultural fests, sports meets, exhibitions, open houses, and community drives.
Ensure professional photography, videography, and live social-media coverage.
Secure pre- and post-event media attention, including local press features and online highlights.
4. Parent-Alumni Engagement
Design campaigns and events to increase parent involvement and satisfaction.
Launch initiatives such as alumni meets, newsletters, and recognition programs to maintain a strong alumni network.
Collect and analyse parent/alumni feedback for continuous improvement.
5. Admission Counselling & Support
Partner with the admissions team to create outreach campaigns during enrolment periods.
Track inquiry data and conversion rates to guide strategy.
6. Digital Presence & Online Reputation
Manage official social-media handles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and websites for all schools.
Create and schedule engaging posts, stories, and videos that reflect campus life and achievements.
Monitor analytics to boost engagement, follower growth, and lead generation.
Respond to online reviews and queries promptly and professionally.
7. Parent Communication & Internal Coordination
Draft newsletters, circulars, SMS alerts, and email updates to keep parents informed.
Work with principals and department heads to ensure accurate and timely messaging across campuses.
8. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly and quarterly PR reports covering media mentions, digital metrics, admissions data, and event outcomes.
Present insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Skills Required
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong networking and relationship-building abilities with media, parents, and community leaders.
Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and basic graphic tools (e.g., Canva).
Event planning and on-ground coordination skills.
Quick decision-making and diplomacy for crisis situations.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Master's in Communication/Marketing or MBA preferred.
Experience:
Preferred 4-6 years in PR, marketing, or school communications.
Prior experience with educational institutions or multi-brand organizations is highly desirable.
