The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will be responsible for maintaining a positive image of the hospital and managing effective communication between patients, the public, media, and the hospital management. The PRO ensures smooth handling of patient relations, public communication, government liaison work, and promotional activities for the hospital.
Key Responsibilities1. Patient & Public Relations
Attend to patient queries, grievances, and feedback promptly and courteously.
Coordinate with hospital departments to resolve patient issues efficiently.
Maintain high standards of patient satisfaction and service communication.
Assist in smooth admission, discharge, and billing processes for VIP / corporate patients.
2. Media & Public Communication
Manage hospital's public image through media relations and press releases.
Prepare and circulate news items, press notes, and success stories.
Handle media visits, coverage, and press conferences as approved by management.
Promote hospital events, health camps, and awareness programs.
3. Liaison & Coordination
Liaise with government departments, statutory bodies, insurance companies, and corporate clients for hospital-related work.
Maintain good relations with TPA (Third Party Administrators) and corporate HR departments.
Support in obtaining and renewing hospital licenses, NOCs, and other compliance documents.
4. Marketing & Promotional Activities
Assist in organizing health camps, CME programs, and community outreach events.
Coordinate the design and distribution of hospital brochures, advertisements, and promotional materials.
Support digital marketing and social media content for hospital promotion.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of media coverage, events, and patient feedback reports.
Prepare periodic PR activity and grievance resolution reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate or Postgraduate in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, or Hospital Administration.
Minimum
2-5 years of experience
in a hospital or healthcare organization.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Good command of English and local languages (Hindi preferred).
Basic knowledge of MS Office, social media, and documentation.
