The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will be responsible for promoting the mission, values, and services of RG Elder Care Foundation to the public, stakeholders, media, and community. The PRO will manage all communication channels, enhance the foundation's visibility, and strengthen relationships with beneficiaries, donors, partners, and the general public.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Communication & Public Image
Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance the foundation's public image.
Draft press releases, newsletters, speeches, and official statements.
Coordinate with media houses to ensure accurate and positive coverage.
B. Media Relations
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media agencies.
Handle all media inquiries and arrange interviews, press conferences, and briefings.
Monitor media coverage and prepare regular media reports.
C. Community & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the main communication link between the foundation and the public.
Engage with families of beneficiaries, donors, community leaders, and volunteers.
Organize awareness programs, outreach activities, and community meetings.
D. Event Planning & Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as:
Health and wellness camps
Senior-citizen engagement activities
Fundraising events
Awareness campaigns
Oversee event publicity, logistics, invitations, and sponsorship coordination.
E. Digital & Social Media Management
Manage and update official social media platforms and website content.
Create engaging posts, photos, videos, and updates on foundation activities.
Respond to online queries and maintain positive digital engagement.
F. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare monthly PR activity reports and event summaries.
Maintain records of outreach programs, media interactions, and public feedback.
Support management in preparing annual reports and communication materials.
G. Internal Communication
Provide communication support to internal teams and volunteers.
Assist in staff training regarding communication and branding guidelines.
H. Crisis Communication
Handle sensitive cases and public concerns with professionalism.
Provide timely clarification and information to maintain the foundation's reputation.
3. Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Social Work, or related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in media handling, event management, and community engagement.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
