Position Overview



The Public Engagement Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional visitor experience at the Aankhon Dekha VR Centre, Orchha. The role involves welcoming guests, facilitating VR-based heritage experiences, providing accurate information about the site, ensuring smooth centre operations, and engaging visitors to create meaningful cultural connections. The Associate acts as the primary interface between visitors and the VR Centre, ensuring a memorable, educational, and seamless experience.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Visitor Engagement & Experience Delivery



Greet, welcome, and guide visitors throughout their VR journey. Conduct VR sessions, ensuring smooth operation of equipment and visitor comfort. Explain the historical, cultural, and architectural significance of Orchha's heritage sites showcased in VR content. Handle visitor queries related to the VR experience, heritage context, timings, and centre facilities. Ensure all visitors receive personalized, high-quality service.

B. VR Equipment Handling & Technical Support



Set up and calibrate VR headsets and controllers for each session. Regularly clean, sanitize, and maintain VR equipment as per SOPs. Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate advanced problems to the technical team.

C. Crowd Management & Centre Operations



Manage visitor flow, queue lines, and session scheduling. Coordinate with the ticketing or reception team for smooth daily operations. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the VR hall, seating area, and lobby.

D. Communication & Feedback



Encourage visitors to share feedback and collect feedback forms. Communicate special heritage insights, storytelling elements, and engaging facts to enhance visitor immersion. Provide updates to the management on visitor concerns, operational gaps, and service improvements.

E. Safety, Protocols & Compliance



Follow all safety guidelines for VR equipment usage. Ensure visitor safety, especially for children, senior citizens, and first-time VR users. Adhere to all operational SOPs, including emergency procedures.

F. Documentation & Reporting



Record daily visitor counts, session logs, equipment issues, and feedback summaries. Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly engagement reports.

3. Skills & Competencies Required



Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with diverse audiences including tourists, families, and students. Basic technical aptitude for handling VR devices. Interest in Indian heritage, culture, and storytelling. Customer-first attitude with patience and problem-solving ability. Ability to manage crowds and multitask efficiently.

4. Qualifications



Minimum 12th pass; Graduation (any stream) preferred. Experience in customer service, hospitality, tourism, or museum/heritage sector is an advantage. Basic computer literacy required.

5. Work Environment



Stationed at Aankhon Dekha VR Centre, located within the Orchha Fort Complex. Requires consistent interaction with visitors, standing/walking for long periods, and hands-on work with VR equipment. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required as per visitor footfall.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



Visitor satisfaction and feedback scores. Smooth VR session operations with minimal downtime. Effective crowd flow and reduced waiting time. Cleanliness and readiness of VR equipment. Accuracy and completeness of daily logs and reports.
