Job Summary

The PU Painting Supervisor will be responsible for supervising

PU (Polyurethane) painting, polishing & high-gloss finishing works

on modular furniture, display units, wall panels, and premium interior surfaces. The role involves ensuring correct surface preparation, spray application, finishing quality, and adherence to colour/finish samples as approved by the client/design team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise

PU painting works

including primer, putty, sealer coat, base coat, topcoat & final finish. Ensure

proper surface preparation

(sanding, buffing, filler, priming) before PU application. Maintain

high-gloss / matte finish quality

as per approved samples. Inspect raw substrate quality of MDF/wood before polishing. Coordinate with carpenters & sanding teams for surface readiness. Monitor

spray booth operations

(environment control, air pressure, gun settings). Check shade matching, coating thickness, and final finishing consistency. Control

material usage and wastage

; ensure correct mixing ratios / dilution. Ensure drying/curing time and dust-free finishing environment. Supervise manpower of painters, sprayers, helpers & polishing contractors. Prepare daily work progress updates and report finishing status to the site/factory manager. Conduct finishing rectifications / touch-ups before handover. Maintain safety & cleanliness in the finishing area.

Key Skills Required

Expertise in

PU paint application techniques (Spray Gun / Booth Finishing)

. Knowledge of

high-gloss / matt / semi-gloss PU coatings

. Understanding of

sealer coat, sanding sequence, buffing & rubbing compound process

. Familiarity with

Italian PU / High-build PU

preferred. Good knowledge of

curing, humidity, and dust-control environment

. Ability to assess surface defects and correct them. Eye for detailing and premium finishing standards.

Qualifications & Experience

ITI / Diploma in Painting / Polishing / Interior Finishing (preferred). 4-10 years of experience in

PU painting for interiors/modular furniture

. Experience in retail stores, luxury showrooms, or premium residential finishing is an advantage.

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of branded PU systems (Asian/Nerolac/ICA/Asian PPG etc.). Basic understanding of CNC-made furniture finishing. Team coordination & finishing timeline management. Willing to work at factory or site as per project requirement.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
