Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated PTG Sr. Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience in Mainframe CICS and IBM Mainframe Utilities. The ideal candidate will work from our office during day shifts contributing to the development and maintenance of critical systems. This role does not require travel allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality solutions that drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mainframe applications using CICS and IBM Mainframe Utilities to ensure system efficiency and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications. Implement robust and scalable solutions that meet business needs and enhance system performance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Optimize existing systems by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality assurance processes. Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development processes. Document system designs processes and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity. Participate in project planning and estimation activities to ensure timely delivery of solutions. Engage in performance tuning and capacity planning to maintain optimal system performance. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all development activities. Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality software solutions that meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

Possess a strong understanding of Mainframe CICS and IBM Mainframe Utilities with proven experience in developing and maintaining mainframe applications. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively. Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Show proficiency in optimizing systems and implementing best practices to enhance performance. Display excellent communication skills both verbal and written to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
