Job Description

Role: PTC Windchill Consultant
Location: (Bangalore/ Pune)
Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Windchill PLM technical expert, with proficiency across modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, PartsLink, and MPMLink.
• Design, develop, and customize Windchill components using Java, JSP, JCA, Windchill APIs, and Info*Engine.
• Lead end-to-end PLM solution design in collaboration with architects, functional teams, and business analysts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windchill issues related to performance, customization, and integrations.
• Drive activities related to upgrades, deployments, data migration, clustering, high-availability, and system tuning.
• Work on ESI/ERP integrations, CAD connectivity, and REST/SOAP-based services.
• Ensure high code quality via reviews, unit testing, and adherence to development best practices.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct training/knowledge-sharing sessions, and guide the team toward technical excellence.
• Engage with multiple teams to drive solution decisions and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Take ownership of configuration, customization, and technical problem resolution.

Professional & Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in PTC Windchill, including deep understanding of PLM processes such as BOM, Change Management, and Document Management.
• Hands-on experience with Java, JSP, Windchill APIs, JCA, Info*Engine, workflow customization, and UI modifications.
• Strong knowledge of database concepts (Oracle/SQL) and PLM data modeling.
• Experience with ESI integrations, ERP systems, and web service development.
• Skilled in Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools (Git/SVN).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver scalable, robust solutions.
