Job Description

The Psychology Teacher is responsible for teaching the NCERT Psychology curriculum, helping students understand human behavior, mental processes, and research methods. The teacher fosters analytical thinking, encourages application-based learning, and supports students' academic performance in alignment with CBSE learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

CBSE-mandated practicals

, maintain practical files, and guide students in preparing for practical assessments. Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and classroom activities in accordance with CBSE guidelines. Provide clear and timely feedback to students and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance. Prepare students for school exams, periodical assessments, and CBSE standards of evaluation. Integrate life-skills, value-based learning, and real-life applications of psychology as encouraged by CBSE. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports student well-being. Participate in staff meetings, subject workshops, and CBSE/NCERT training programs (as required). Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behaviour.

Required Qualifications



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology from a recognized university.

B.Ed. in Psychology or Social Sciences

(mandatory for CBSE schools). Teaching experience at the senior secondary level (preferred). Strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum and assessment patterns.
