Child Psychologist (Special Needs Center)

Job Summary:



We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced

Child Psychologist

to join our multidisciplinary team at a specialized center serving children with developmental, learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The Child Psychologist will provide assessments, therapeutic interventions, and consultation services to help children and their families navigate challenges, develop coping strategies, and enhance their emotional and behavioral well-being.

Key Responsibilities:



? Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's strengths, needs, and developmental profile.
? Provide evidence-based individual and/or group therapy (e.g., play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, social skills training) to children with special needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other developmental or emotional challenges.
? Work closely with families to provide psychoeducation, parent coaching, and emotional support.
? Collaborate with special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavior therapists as part of a holistic care team.
? Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and IEP (Individualized Education Program) planning as required.
? Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress notes, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines.
? Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices in child psychology and special education.

Required Qualifications:



? Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (with specialization in Child or Developmental Psychology preferred).
? Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with special needs in clinical, educational, or rehabilitation settings.
? Strong skills in psychological assessment, child development, behavioral management, and therapeutic interventions.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
? High level of empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):



? Experience with specific intervention models (e.g., ABA, DIR/Floortime, CBT, play therapy, social skills groups).
? Familiarity with working in a school or center-based setting.
? Experience in designing or contributing to IEPs or individualized developmental plans.
? Bilingual or multilingual abilities (if applicable to your client population).

Work Conditions:



Full-time or part-time role. Requires active engagement with children during therapy sessions (including play-based or movement activities). Collaboration within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team environment.

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
