Job Description

Seeking a dedicated and experienced psychologist to join our team at Thrissur As a Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the psychological well-being of our residents through comprehensive assessments, individualized care plans, and evidence-based interventions. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of psychological principles, and a commitment to providing holistic care.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of each resident's psychological and emotional well-being.
2. Develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident, considering their unique needs and challenges.
3. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of each resident's care plan, including a brief history, individual care plan chart, and individual milestone chart.
4. Provide psychological interventions through individual and group therapy sessions, based on the individual care plan.
5. Implement a Psychological Intervention Plan to improve Verbal Comprehension and Communication Skills
6. Implement a Psychological Intervention Plan to improve Perceptual Reasoning and Socialization/Daily Living Skills
7. Implement a Psychological Intervention Plan to improve Working Memory, Processing Speed, and Adaptive Behavior Skills:
8. Provide emotional and behavioral support through regular sessions.
9. Offer individual counseling sessions to provide a safe space for residents.
10. Utilize therapeutic techniques to engage residents in the therapeutic process.
11. Monitor and evaluate the progress of residents and adjust interventions as necessary.
12. Collaborate with other professionals and staff members to ensure holistic care.
13. Stay updated with the latest research and developments in the field of psychology.
14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions.
15. Act as an advocate for the residents, promoting their rights and well-being.
16. Provide guidance and support to staff members and caregivers.
17. Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of psychological interventions.
18. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for the residents.
19. Maintain professional boundaries and engage in self-care practices.

Qualifications:

MSc. Applied Psychology- Experience in residential care settings preferred.


- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
