Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Motivate and counsel drug-dependent patients for detoxification. Provide detoxification treatment in an indoor facility with a team of mental health professionals. Screen drug-dependent patients for physical illnesses such as Hepatitis B, HIV, and Tuberculosis. Collaborate with clinical psychologists and counsellors to prepare patients for

abstinence

post-discharge. Assist in the rehabilitation of patients into society post-treatment, including coordination with NGOs. Provide support through emergency helpline services when needed. Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by department authorities.

Skills Required:

Strong clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment skills. Compassionate patient interaction and motivation techniques. Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Knowledge of substance use disorders and community-based rehabilitation.
