Syngenta Group is also Committed to maintaining a workplace environment free from discrimination and harassment The P&S IT Business Partner (ITBP) for Region AMEA has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with regional CP business units for P&S functional area for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. Accountabilities The ITBP for Region AMEA has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with regional CP business units for P&S functional area for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. The ITBP serves as the business relationship link between business units and IT at the leadership level. The ITBP provides highly valued strategic consulting level support and guidance through key IT initiatives, including Global ERP deployments. S(he) communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests and projects and initiatives. S(he) proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units. S(he) partners with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance). The ITBP proactively serves as a \'trusted advisor,\' and is the primary IT point of contact to business line executives and managers. S(he) operates as the key business contact representing IT in promoting IT services and capabilities. The ITBP provides support in delivering technology products that meet the needs of the business. The ITBP focuses on strategic initiatives and planning activities for their business area. S(he) strives to understand business challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues. ITBPs are proactive and anticipatory in their thinking. They are, by nature, driven and provide significant value to business units. ITBP\'s facilitate the investment intake process and the high level planning and execution of business initiatives through the use of technology. They serve a lead role in enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology. Qualifications Knowledge, experience & capabilities Personal capabilities Projects confidence and communicates an understanding of the current and future challenges faced by the organization, and their business drivers, as they relate to IT. Has an innate curiosity and is motivated to find ways that IT can deliver business value. Able to have discussions with business leaders about IT concepts and solutions. Can adapt communication style and content to the needs of the audience Adept at managing complex relationships and competing priorities across business functions. Motivate to develop networks of influence within IT so that IT can be leveraged to solve business problems. Critical experience 10 years\' experience in a consulting, business process management, or IT role. Experience with Global SAP deployments. Experience working with large multinationals and/or consultancies. University degree in a commercial/business or technical/ IT subject Experience in working with IT companies & in-house IT departments. Understanding of a broad range of IT concepts and capabilities and the value that be delivered with them. Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities Analytical and strategic thinker Pro-active team player / knowledge sharer / open and transparent Strong influencing skills. Effective communicator. Looks constantly for new ways to create value for the company Proficient in problem solving and able to resolve issues of a complex and strategic nature Negotiator, decisive, result oriented, self-motivated / directed. Ability to develop networks across the organization, and an ability to influence and motivate people Stakeholder management skills.
