Job Description

Job Purpose

To plan, prepare, and deliver effective teaching and learning for students in the primary section, ensuring their holistic development in academic, social, emotional, and co-curricular domains.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and participation. Use innovative teaching strategies and integrate technology to enhance learning outcomes.

2. Student Development

Monitor and support the overall development of students in academics and character building. Identify learning needs of students and provide appropriate support, including remedial teaching. Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

3. Assessment & Reporting

Conduct regular assessments to track student progress. Maintain accurate records of student performance and share feedback with parents. Prepare report cards, progress reports, and participate in parent-teacher meetings.

4. Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and a safe, inclusive classroom environment. Ensure students develop respect, responsibility, and good behavior.

5. Collaboration & Professional Development

Work closely with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school leadership for academic planning. Participate in training programs, workshops, and continuous professional development. Contribute to school events, assemblies, and community activities.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong subject knowledge and communication skills. Ability to engage young learners with patience and creativity. Classroom management and child-centered teaching approach. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Proficiency in integrating digital tools in teaching.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). Graduate in relevant subject (preferred). Prior teaching experience in a primary school setting desirable.

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
