Job Description

The Primary Teacher (PRT) is responsible for nurturing young learners by creating a joyful, safe, and engaging classroom environment. The teacher will focus on foundational literacy, numeracy, life skills, and holistic development using child-centric and activity-based teaching methods.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons as per curriculum guidelines (CBSE/ICSE/State Board). Use activity-based, experiential, and play-way methods for effective learning. Develop basic reading, writing, speaking, and numeracy skills. Encourage curiosity, questioning, and creative thinking among students.

Classroom Management

Maintain a warm, safe, and disciplined classroom environment. Foster positive behaviour, empathy, and respect. Monitor student progress and provide individual attention where needed.

Assessment & Reporting

Conduct regular assessments (oral, written, worksheets, projects). Maintain student records and portfolios. Share academic and behavioural feedback with parents during PTMs.

Co-Curricular & Holistic Development

Participate in school activities, assemblies, events, and celebrations. Support students' emotional, social, and moral development. Integrate life skills and values into daily teaching.

Collaboration & Professionalism

Work closely with coordinators and fellow teachers. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops. Follow school policies, rules, and academic calendars.

Qualifications & SkillsEducational Qualification

Graduation with

D.El.Ed / B.Ed (Preferred)

ECCEd / Montessori trained candidates welcome (for lower primary)

Experience

Freshers may apply 1-3 years of teaching experience preferred
