Position Title: PRT Mother Teacher
Location: Podar International School, Wagholi, Talegaon, Undri
Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal
Employment Type: Full Time
Job Summary:
The Mother Teacher is primarily responsible for teaching and nurturing students in Grades 1 and 2 by providing academic instruction, emotional support, and overall guidance. This role ensures a strong foundational learning experience by being a consistent figure in the childs early school years.
Key Responsibilities:

• Teach core subjects (English, EVS, and Mathematics) to the assigned class as per the school curriculum.
• Create a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and conduct classroom activities effectively.
• Conduct regular assessments and maintain academic records of students.
• Monitor and support the emotional and social development of each child.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with co-teachers, subject teachers, and school staff for events and activities.
• Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and school meetings as required.

• Graduate in any stream (preferably with English as a subject).
• B.Ed. or D.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
• 13 years of teaching experience in a primary or early years setting.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital teaching tools.

• Passion for teaching young children.
• Patience, empathy, and strong classroom management.
• Ability to build strong rapport with students and parents.
• Creative and innovative approach to teaching.
