Job Description

A PRT (Primary Teacher) Mother Teacher is responsible for teaching all subjects to primary students, typically Grades 1- 3 , while also providing emotional and social support to ensure holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

Teach all primary subjects (such as English, Mathematics, Environmental Science) to assigned grades, designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet curriculum requirements. Create a nurturing, supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters children's academic, emotional, and social development. Track and assess individual student progress, maintain detailed records, and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's academic performance, social adjustment, and well-being, scheduling meetings as necessary. Organize and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and field trips, supervising and guiding students outside the classroom as needed. Collaborate with colleagues during grade planning, school-wide projects, and staff development activities. Manage classroom resources and maintain discipline through positive behavior management strategies.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field (B.Ed.); a specialization in Early Childhood or Primary Education is preferred. Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a reputed school, preferably in primary grades. Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills; proficiency with educational technology and tools is desirable. CTET/NET qualification and additional certifications are considered an advantage.
