Job Description

The Primary Mathematics Teacher (PRT Mathematics) is responsible for teaching mathematical concepts to students at the primary level in an engaging, structured, and age-appropriate manner. The role focuses on building strong foundational skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities among young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver mathematics lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and learning objectives. Teach basic mathematical concepts such as numbers, operations, measurements, shapes, and simple problem-solving techniques. Use interactive teaching methods, teaching aids, and activities to make learning interesting and effective. Assess students' understanding through classwork, homework, worksheets, tests, and informal evaluations. Maintain accurate records of students' academic progress and provide regular feedback to parents. Identify learning difficulties and provide additional support or remedial teaching when required. Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Participate in school activities, meetings, training programs, and professional development sessions. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support overall academic growth and student development. Follow school policies, CBSE/board guidelines, and child-centered teaching practices.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong command over primary-level mathematics concepts. Good communication and classroom management skills. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children. Ability to simplify concepts and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.

Qualifications:

Graduate with D.El.Ed / B.Ed. Prior teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
