Job Description

A PRT (Primary Teacher) is responsible for foundational learning in primary classes, focusing on core subjects and early childhood education. Their duties include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, fostering a positive learning environment, and communicating with parents. They also manage classroom behavior, create learning resources, and participate in school activities. Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:

Develop and implement lesson plans for core subjects like literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative arts.

Assessment and Feedback:

Assess student learning through various methods like tests, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.

Classroom Management:

Create a positive and engaging learning environment, manage classroom behavior, and ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students.

Communication:

Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.

Resource Management:

Prepare and organize teaching materials, maintain records of student attendance and performance, and ensure the classroom is well-equipped.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and specialists to enhance the learning experience for students and participate in school meetings and professional development.

Extracurricular Activities:

May participate in or lead after-school clubs, sports events, and other extracurricular activities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree:

A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is typically required.

Teaching Certification:

Relevant teaching certifications or licenses are usually necessary.

Strong Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.

Classroom Management Skills:
