Job Overview: The PRT EVS teacher will be responsible for teaching Environmental Studies to students in primary grades (typically classes I to V). The role involves creating engaging lessons, nurturing environmental awareness, and promoting a hands-on, activity-based learning environment. --- Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver EVS lessons aligned with the school curriculum (e.g., CBSE/ICSE/IB). Develop age-appropriate learning materials and teaching aids. Encourage environmental awareness, sustainable habits, and curiosity about the natural world. Integrate activities, field visits, and practical experiences to reinforce concepts. Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and tests. Maintain student records, attendance, and progress reports. Collaborate with other subject teachers to create interdisciplinary projects. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher interactions. --- Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (preferably with Science/EVS as a subject) B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory) Prior experience teaching primary students (1-3 years preferred) Proficient in English and effective classroom communication --- Key Skills: Strong subject knowledge in Environmental Studies Creative and child-friendly teaching methods Patience and ability to connect with young learners Classroom management and organization skills Enthusiastic and environmentally conscious mindset
