The English Teacher for Grades 3-5 will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate English language instruction that builds strong foundational skills in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. The role requires a child-centric approach, creativity in teaching, and the ability to integrate experiential and activity-based learning.
Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning outcomes.
Use interactive, activity-based teaching methods (stories, phonics reinforcement, group work, role plays, reading circles, etc.).
Develop students' grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction, and creative writing skills.
Conduct regular assessments to track learning progress and provide timely feedback.
Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
B. Instructional Planning
Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, and reading materials.
Incorporate technology, audio-visual aids, and innovative tools to enhance learning.
Modify instruction for diverse learners while maintaining grade-level expectations.
C. Student Development
Encourage reading habits, expression, confidence, and communication skills.
Support students with differentiated strategies for writing, comprehension, and speaking.
Identify learning gaps and provide remedial or enrichment support where required.
D. Documentation & Evaluation
Maintain student records, assessment sheets, portfolios, and progress notes.
Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
E. Collaboration & School Involvement
Work closely with grade teachers, subject heads, and the academic coordinator.
Contribute to school events, assemblies, competitions, English week/literary activities.
Participate in training sessions, workshops, and curriculum planning meetings.

4. Qualifications & Experience

1-5 years of teaching experience in primary grades (CBSE/ICSE experience preferred).
