Role Summary

The PRT English & S.St. teacher will be responsible for teaching English language skills and basic Social Studies concepts to primary students through interactive and activity-based learning methods while ensuring overall development of the child.

Key Responsibilities

Teach

English and Social Studies

as per the school curriculum Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and worksheets Develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in students Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, creative writing Teach Social Studies topics such as: family & neighborhoods community helpers festivals & culture basic history, civics & geography concepts Conduct assessments, tests, projects, and activities Maintain student records, result sheets, and attendance Encourage participation in class discussions and activities Support slow learners and motivate high achievers Maintain classroom discipline and child-friendly environment Coordinate with parents through PTMs and regular updates Participate in assemblies, functions, and school events

Qualifications

Graduation (preferably in English or Humanities)

D.El.Ed / B.Ed / JBT / BTC

(as applicable) CTET/TET qualified (preferred)

Skills Required

Strong command over English language Clear pronunciation and communication skills Knowledge of child psychology and classroom management Creative and activity-based teaching approach Basic computer skills and familiarity with smart class tools

Experience

0-3 years (Freshers with good communication may also apply) Experience in CBSE/ICSE school preferred
