Job Description

The PRT English teacher is responsible for teaching English to primary classes (Classes I-V), developing students' basic language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teach English to primary students as per the prescribed curriculum Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging lessons Develop foundational reading, writing, phonics, and vocabulary skills Encourage spoken English through activities, stories, and discussions Assess and evaluate student progress through worksheets, tests, and observations Maintain student records and report progress to parents Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Use teaching aids, TLMs, and digital tools to enhance learning Participate in school activities, training sessions, and staff meetings Support students' overall academic and emotional development

Qualifications

Graduate in English or relevant subject D.El.Ed / B.Ed (as per school and board norms) CTET/State TET qualification (preferred/mandatory as applicable)

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and classroom management skills Patience and child-friendly teaching approach Creativity in lesson planning and activity-based learning Basic computer and smart classroom skills

Experience

1-3 years of teaching experience at primary level preferred Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply
