Role Overview

The PRT Computer Teacher will be responsible for teaching basic computer skills to primary class students, ensuring they develop strong digital literacy, creativity, and safe technology usage habits. The role involves lesson planning, hands-on activities, and maintaining the computer lab.

Key Responsibilities

Teach computer fundamentals to students of primary classes (Grade 1-5). Conduct classes on topics such as MS Office, typing skills, internet basics, digital safety, and educational software. Create engaging lesson plans and learning activities aligned with the school curriculum. Demonstrate concepts using practical examples and lab sessions. Assess student progress through worksheets, quizzes, and practical tests. Maintain and manage computer lab equipment, ensuring systems remain functional. Guide students in basic coding platforms (Scratch, Blockly, etc.) if required. Collaborate with class teachers for integrating technology into classroom learning. Ensure discipline, safety, and appropriate behavior in the computer lab. Participate in school events, training programs, and parent-teacher meetings.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Graduation in any stream with Diploma/Certification in Computer Applications (e.g., DCA, ADCA, BCA preferred). Prior teaching experience of 2-4 years in primary classes. Strong knowledge of basic computer operations, MS Office, and internet tools. Good communication skills and classroom management abilities. Patience, creativity, and passion for teaching children.
